Sean it’s Emma Barker from Netherthong Primary – you called to speak to me and I can’t get in touch with you as I seem to have the wrong mobile number. I’ve contacted the Guardian, but they don’t know who you are! I’ve clicked to follow you on Twitter – please can you DM on twitter @emmabarker thanks!

Hi,
I have just seen your article about school learning platforms and thought you may be interested in some of the work we have been doing at Radiowaves http://www.radiowaves.co.uk
Radiowaves provides a free social learning environment for all schools – Radiowaves is a web based service used by around 1,500 schools in 22 countries – over 30,000 multimedia stories have been published on the site to date. It is available to all schools working with young people aged 5-19 and can be accessed in school or anywhere with web access. The service includes all the usual social networking features plus teacher tools allowing teacher complete control over privacy settings, moderation of content and monitored internal messaging. We work with many partners such as Parliament’s Education Service, Filmclub, Football Foundation and British Red Cross to provide online activities and projects for schools.
More information is available at http://www.radiowaves.co.uk/about
You may also be interested in a new programme that Radiowaves is supporting to raise social networking safety skills in primary schools.
The programme is developed by DigitalMe with support from Childnet and the I in Online.
More information and resources are available for free at http://www.digitalme.co.uk/safe
I hope you find this of interest and would welcome your thoughts and any questions you may have.
Cheers
Cliff

Hey, having glanced at your blog, and even commented (which I rarely seem to do on blogs for some strange reason, despite the number of blogs I actually juggle myself) I thought it would be nice to drop a line.
Well nice blog, but more importantly it seems you’re an avid writer, and as a photographer it can only be a good thing to make links between beings from both sides of the bush.
Drop me a line…
Andreas
